Fire Paan
The house signature. Wrapped, sealed, and set alight right in front of you — a shot of theatre before every bite.
Taj Bagh · Nagpur · Est. 2004
For over two decades, Mamu Pan Palace has welcomed Nagpur with a splash of rose water and sent it home with a paan set ablaze right at the counter — Nagpur's original Fire Paan house.
Since 2004
Our Story
It started as a small counter in Gousiya Colony, Taj Bagh — just a wooden takhti, a stack of fresh betel leaves, and a mamu who insisted on doing paan differently. Two decades on, that same counter still draws a queue every evening.
What sets Mamu Pan Palace apart isn't only the taste. It's the welcome — a splash of rose water on your palms before you order — and the finale: your paan, wrapped, sealed, and set alight in a controlled flourish of fire that has made this shop a name people bring visitors to see.
No two counters make paan the same way. This one has spent 22 years perfecting its own.
How It's Made
Every paan at Mamu Pan Palace follows the same three steps — a sequence perfected over 22 years at the same counter.
Fresh betel leaves are hand-picked and cleaned at the counter, chosen for softness and aroma before anything else goes in.
Areca nut, lime paste, gulkand, fennel and a house blend of spices go in — adjusted by hand for every single order.
Wrapped, sealed, and — for Fire Paan — set alight for a few seconds of flame before it's handed to you, rose water still on your palms.
